The traditional approach to these issues calls for either 1) surgery, or 2) injecting dermal filler. However, we’ve found a better way! At Nob Hill Aesthetics, we’ve revolutionized a non-surgical approach to under-eye issues by combining 3 collagen-stimulating treatments: Growth Factor, EZ Gel, and PDO Threads. The results are noticeable, natural, and long lasting.

  1. Growth Factor: to stimulate collagen and increase blood flow to the under-eye area 
  2. EZ Gel: to address loss of volume and to help slowly release growth factor

For optimal results, most clients will need 2-4  30-minute sessions, 6 weeks apart. Results are long-lasting, however, as with any other aesthetic procedure, maintenance is required. We recommend a maintenance session every 6-12  months.

  • What is Growth Factor?

    Our Growth Factor can be used as an injection for rejuvenation. Our natural injections are made from your own blood and a protein matrix called fibrin. Once harvested, it becomes a serum made up of a high concentration of white blood cells, fibrin, and stem cells (growth factors)

    These injections can help achieve a younger and fresher look by using your own cells to rejuvenate your skin, especially hard-to-treat areas such as the under eyes. The Growth Factor can be used on multiple parts of the face and scalp, and is sometimes referred to as a “vampire facial”.

  • What is EZ Gel?

    EZ Gel is a further derivative of our Growth Factor. 60% of the blood plasma proteins in the Growth Factor are Human Serum Albumins (HSA), and by carefully heating the Growth Factor to 75 degrees Celsius, the hydrodynamic radius of HSA increases fourfold, creating a gel. This gel, derived from your own cells, is then injected into the delicate under-eye area as an all-natural filler providing immediate results, and stimulating collagen for longer-lasting results.

  • What are PDO Threads?

    PDO (Polydioxanone) threads consist of an absorbable polymer suture-like material which has been used in surgery for many years. These flexible, durable threads are the thickness of a fine hair, making them an ideal material for under-eye skin rejuvenation, tightening, and lifting.

  • Before Treatment

    During your consultation, you will meet with an experienced provider and establish a treatment plan based on your desired goals and skin concerns. 

  • During Treatment

    On the day of your procedure, two vials of blood will be drawn Growth Factor Retrieval. These vials are spun in a specialized centrifuge to separate the platelets and white blood cells from the red blood cells. The platelets and white blood cells form the Growth Factor, and the EZ Gel is created from the mixture via the heating process.

    While the Growth Factor and EZ Gel are created, lidocaine will be applied to lessen discomfort associated with injections. Then our master injector will insert the PDO threads and inject the Growth Factor and EZ Gel. The injection process takes less than 30 minutes.

  • After Treatment

    You will notice immediate volume which is a combination of the EZ Gel volume and slight swelling and inflammation. The swelling and inflammation will subside in several days, and the longer term collagen production will become visible in 4-6 weeks.
