Most under-eye problems are caused by lack of collagen and blood flow, and by combining these three BIO stimulation therapies (PRF, PDO Threads, and EZ GEL) into one treatment, we address the issues from multiple directions.

With long lasting benefits and remarkable results, PRF Under Eyes treats:

Frequently Asked Questions

Under Eye Procedure Breakdown

What Is PRF Growth Factor

Our PRF Growth Factor is used as an injection for rejuvenation. Our natural injections are made from your own blood and a protein matrix called fibrin. Once harvested, it becomes a serum made up of a high concentration of white blood cells, fibrin, and stem cells (growth factors)

These injections can help achieve a younger and fresher look by using your own cells to rejuvenate your skin, especially hard-to-treat areas such as the under eyes. The PRF Growth Factor can be used on multiple parts of the face and scalp, and is sometimes referred to as a “vampire facial”.

What is EZ Gel?

EZ Gel is a further derivative of our PRF Growth Factor. 60% of the blood plasma proteins in the PRF Growth Factor are Human Serum Albumins (HSA), and by carefully heating the PRF Growth Factor to 75 degrees Celsius, the hydrodynamic radius of HSA increases fourfold, creating a gel. This gel, derived from your own cells, is then injected into the delicate under-eye area as an all-natural filler providing immediate results, and stimulating collagen for longer benefits.

What are PDO Threads?

PDO (Polydioxanone) threads consist of an absorbable polymer suture-like material which has been used in surgery for many years. These flexible, durable threads are the thickness of a fine hair, making them an ideal material for under-eye skin rejuvenation, tightening, and lifting.

Why Choose Under Eyes

What is the difference between PRF Under Eyes, Halo, Morpheus8, and Microneedling?

The comparison between the 4 procedures can become very complex so ask your provider at Nob Hill Aesthetics in Person for a more thorough explanation. However, the main points are below:

Halo Laser - is mainly intended to treat uneven skin tone, sun damage and improve skin texture. While all of the procedures improve collagen production, each treatment option has its own "specialty" and limitations. Halo's two types of lasers, hence why it is called a hybrid fractional laser treatment, target shallower layers of the skin as well as the surface compared to Morpheus8. In addition, Halo is more suitable for fairer to medium skin tones.

Morpheus8 - is mainly intended to treat fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and texture irregularities which require reaching deeper layers of the skin. In addition to its strength and ability to treat issues of skin laxity, Morpheus8 is suitable for various skin types including darker skin tones compared to Halo.

Microneedling - is typically not used to address under eye issues. It is however less painful compared to the fractional laser treatments Morpheus8 and Halo Laser. The procedure is still used to address skin pigmentation, acne scares, and skin texture irregularities, however, these effects occur on an even more superficial level of the skin compared to Halo. In addition Microneedling has shorter down times. The results from a microneedling procedure are less dramatic and slower to show compared to fractional laser treatments.

Under Eye Procedure - while each of the three procedures listed above treat skin tightening and skin texture irregularities for the main part (there are many other issues addressed), the PRF Under Eye Treatment adds volume. Once skin is tightened from the other 3 procedures, the under eye procedure provides that needed volume underneath the area of the skin to restore a youthful and refreshed look at the under eye area. It is actually recommended to incorporate both a skin tightening procedure followed by the Under Eye procedure to restore volume loss!

Treatment Details

What can I expect during my visit?

On the day of your procedure, two vials of blood will be drawn for PRF Growth Factor Retrieval. These vials are spun in a specialized centrifuge to separate the platelets and white blood cells from the red blood cells. The platelets and white blood cells form the PRF Growth Factor, and the EZ Gel is created from the mixture via the heating process.

While the PRF Growth Factor and EZ Gel are created, lidocaine will be applied to lessen discomfort associated with injections. Then our master injector will insert the PDO threads and inject the Growth Factor and EZ Gel. The injection process takes less than 30 minutes.

What can I expect after my treatment?

You will notice an immediate volume increase which comes from the combination of the EZ Gel volume and slight swelling and inflammation. The swelling and inflammation will subside in several days, and the longer term collagen production will become visible in 4-6 weeks.

When will I see results?

An immediate volume increase occurs, but collagen production will become visible in 4-6 weeks!
