How does it work?
After the mixture is harvested, it can be used as an injection to stimulate healing. The specific mixture platelet is known for helping the tissue building process. Fibrin found in platelet-rich fibrin is known to stimulate stem cells which improves collagen and elastin in the skin.
Platelet-rich fibrin can help make the skin heal at the cellular level as fibrin responds positively to an injury. These under eye platelet-rich fibrin treatments are done over a six to eight-week period. The mixture for the vials becomes a gel after 15 to 20 minutes of being isolated and immediately upon being injected into the face or scalp. This process allows it to be used for cosmetic volume in areas like the under eyes.

What can I expect during my treatment?
During your consultation, you will meet with an experienced provider and establish a realistic treatment plan based on your desired goals and skin concerns. After establishing a plan, your blood will be drawn for platelet-rich fibrin retrieval. One vial of blood is obtained from your arm prior to your treatment, similar to a regular blood test. Once your blood is retrieved, the vial is placed in a centrifuge and spun. During this process, The blood that is collected for platelet-rich fibrin is spun in a special low-speed centrifuge – the EZMINISPIN – to isolate the platelets and white blood cells from the red blood cells. Once completed, platelet-rich fibrin is extracted from the top of the vial and inserted into a syringe once the separation is complete. After that, it’s injected into the desired area.
